Anatomy of Neurons
We talked about the anatomy of our brains before. However, the brain is not fully understood if we don't know how it works. Like all of our other biological tissue, the brain also consists of cells. there are 2 types of cells in our brain: Neurons and Glial cells. Glial cells are not our topic but they have been seen as the supporters of neurons that responsible for various roles like providing myelin sheet for neurons. However, in the last decade, many studies showed that they actually are more than supporting elements but do affect the brain functions. You can always go look up for glial cells on google and dig in but in this volume, we will be talking about neurons.
Neurons… the cells that make us who we are. Could you imagine that everything you think, you see, you believe and describe as you are actually provided by some electrical and chemical processes in your neurons? These little tiny and skinny creatures are priceless and way more important than anything you have. Why we do not care about our brain health and damage these little things while we need them more than anything in the universe? I don't know, maybe we somehow still believe in a version of ‘Out of Sight, Out of Mind’ rule? Okay, we can talk about this later. This is not a…
